HOW TO OPEN A PAYPAL ACCOUNT IN Nigeria[ 2019 /20]
PayPal is the world’s number one online money transfer platform and is used by hundreds of millions of people worldwide to send and receive money

PayPal is a safe method for online payment because user has to do to get it is to fill out a form, provide ID and other necessary contact information and create an account online.
REGISTER AT PAYPAL
Method 1 PayPal website
When you register to use PayPal, you have to give your name, address, phone number, and e-mail address. You also have to make up a password.

Step 1 :First thing you do is to go to www.paypal.com/ng
Step 2 : Click on signup…select personal or business

Step 3 Personal will be for your personal debit card and business is for your company debit card (if you have one). I suggest you click personal if this is your first time.

Step 4 :After selecting personal, click continue…you should see “Nigeria” in the drop down area, your email address and password.
Step 5. Fill in your email address (doesn’t have to be Gmail or yahoo. It could be @yourcompanyname) [email protected]
Type in your password and make sure it is one you can remember
Step 5 Go to the next page and type other details such as names, date of birth, address and phone number.
Step 6 Also when filling in your address, make sure that it matches the same address details you filled when you opened a bank account
Step7 It takes you to a page where you fill in your debit card details
Type in your card number, expiry date and the last three digits behind your debit card.

Step 8 Go to your email account and click on verify
Voila!! Your account is set up

Step 9 Test it by sending $10 to anyone or to your PayPal account abroad (if you have one)
You get debited in naira and you should get an alert from your local bank
you can remedy this feature by confirming your bank account and linking your credit cards. After you complete the steps shown here, you’re in the clear.
GET PAYPAL-VERIFIED
For your account to get verified, PayPal must be able to confirm that your bank account is really yours. If you bank online, you can usually confirm your account in a few minutes. When PayPal has the information it needs, it makes two small deposits into that account. After a week or so, call your bank or check your account online and find out the amount of these two deposits.
When you have the amounts, sign on to the PayPal website with your password, and type the amounts in the appropriate place. Voilà! Your account is registered — and, not coincidentally, you’re verified! PayPal has confirmed that you hold an active account with your bank. All banks are required to screen their account holders, and verification authenticates your identity to anyone who does business with you.
Method 2 Using a wallet
Another way of opening an account and starting using PayPal in Nigeria. It is just as easy as the first one we mentioned. However, this way you can begin using the PayPal simply through entering the online account of your current bank.
Step 1 ; Simply login in to your Internet banking account using your password and token
Step 2: Choose the “PayPal wallet” in the main tab and click “create PayPal wallet” on the drop down menu
Step 3: Select which cards you wish to link to your PayPal account and which card will be the default card. Try using one card for easy reconciliation
Step 4 : Press the button on your online token and confirm accordingly
Step 5: Create a password in the pop up window that appears
Step 6: Click on “agree and create account”.
Step 7: Go to your registered email account with the bank which confirms
Step8: Next, the system will ask you to enter some information including a password and verify it by repeating it twice.
You will be ask ask you to check out the “Terms and Conditions” and see whether you agree with them. We highly recommend you reading them, even though most people just click on “I agree” instead. It might help you figure out how the system works as well as how to use PayPal in Nigeria.
