While Windows 10 KB4556799 was supposed to be an important update for people running the operating system’s two most recent versions (May 2019 Update and November 2019 Update), it seems that it has actually introduced a large number of problems instead.

The so-called personal file loss relates mainly to the automatic disappearance of files in the directory C:\USER\user name\. Microsoft’s adjustment of the temporary configuration file causes this problem. Upon updating or downloading cumulative updates, users can not find their own files, not because the files are lost but because the program refuses to recover the backup files.

Even after downloading the new cumulative update the user has a compatibility problem with the sound card driver, the device automatically deactivates the sound card driver and triggers audio errors.

The solution to this problem is to disable audio settings enhancements, and then reinstall the driver of the sound card. Realtek sound cards currently only seem to be affected by this problem.

Uninstalling the KB4556799 update is one of the most successful ways to address the problems this update creates. Such basic steps can be followed to uninstall the update.

->Go to Settings and click Update and Security.
->Choose Windows Update and open View update history and click Uninstall window updates.
